Requesting and Comparing a Procedure Quote
A practical checklist for requesting a written provider quote, comparing its scope and keeping provider charges separate from travel costs.
A useful comparison starts with matching records: the same procedure name, named provider and campus, with the quote scope written clearly enough to compare. Use a consistent request sequence and note-taking structure. No provider fee is published here, and a provider listing elsewhere on this site does not mean Beauty Broker can arrange treatment there.
A clear request and a comparable record
Beauty Broker’s public “How it works” page describes gathering what a surgeon and hospital need to review a case, then presenting itemised options with inclusions and exclusions set out clearly. That is the company’s stated process; the checklist below explains what you can ask a provider to put in its own written response. [1]
Begin with the service and location. Write the exact procedure label you are asking about, then name the provider, department or centre and campus. If two providers use different wording, preserve each label instead of rewriting them as if they were interchangeable. Ask the provider to confirm that the requested quote refers to the same service and location shown on its public listing.
Next, ask for an itemised scope. Request the quoted amount and original currency, the date it was prepared, any stated validity period, and the items included. Ask the provider to identify exclusions and charges handled separately, including any consultation, appointment, deposit, cancellation or payment conditions that apply to your request. Do not infer a fee term from another provider’s page or from a different service.
Keep the answer attached to the correct record. In your notes, write the source page, provider name, exact campus, service label, quote date and the person or department that supplied the response. If the provider updates a page or sends a revised document, keep the earlier copy clearly marked as superseded so that figures and terms from different dates are not accidentally combined.
Separate provider charges from travel planning. Ask whether the provider’s document covers any transport or accommodation arrangements; if it does not say, confirm directly. Build a separate estimate for flights, lodging, local transfers, meals, companion expenses and time away from work. Keep any travel supplier’s terms with that estimate rather than adding them to a provider’s quoted fee.
Before comparing options, check that both records use the same requested service and that you have not mixed a public starting price with an individually prepared quote. Read the inclusions and exclusions side by side, note what remains unanswered, and request clarification from the provider responsible for that line. If a reply changes the scope, update the comparison rather than silently treating it as the same offer.
A concise follow-up can ask: “Please confirm the provider and campus, the exact service name, the quoted amount and currency, the quote date and validity, each included item, and anything charged separately. Please also state the appointment, deposit, cancellation and payment terms that apply to this request.” The same wording can be used for each provider so that you can compare the answers without adding assumptions.
Use this for administrative comparison. Ask the provider to clarify missing service, location or fee details before treating two documents as comparable. For source-specific provider names, see the breast augmentation guide and liposuction guide.
